Step by Step Drawing

In the meantime, you can learn how to draw this cute drawing of a Cat using paper, pencils or markers for a start!

Step 1

Load your medium flat brush with white and beige.

With the beige color facing the outer edge of your cat’s head, draw a slightly flattened circle and make a small bump on the lower part for her cheeks.

Step 2

Make in 2 U-shaped loops for the front paws of your cat.

Then let’s draw slight curve for her back followed by a long teardrop for her tail.

Step 3

Let’s load our small flat brush with beige and brown.

Go on to draw in 2 triangular ears at the top of your cat’s head.

Step 4

To create that iconic ragdoll muzzle, lay your brush down in a circular stroke like this. Make sure the beige is on the outer edge.

Step 5

To give it that nice blend with the rest of her face, wet your medium flat brush to smoothen out the colors further.

Step 6

Let’s switch back to our small flat brush with beige and brown.

Let’s draw in the darkened paws and edges of her tail.

Step 7

Once you’re done, clean off your small flat brush. Let’s use this to reduce some of the color intensity of your cat’s face and chest.

The great thing about working with water-based paints is that you can just reactivate them with water and lift off any excess color whenever you wish.

Step 8

Load your small flat brush with white and teal.

Let’s draw in Raggi’s best friend, Moomi the milk box. Let’s use block strokes to create the rectangular shape of our milk box.

Step 9

Let’s give Raggi and Moomi pink cheeks and ears using your small round brush.

Step 10

Switch to your liner brush and use black to draw in their eyes and mouths.

Step 11

Use white to draw in the little ears and horns on Moomi and dab some pink on his ears before adding some cow spots and his tail.

Step 12

Let’s load out liner brush with dark blue to outline our milk box.

Step 13

Use dark brown to outline our cat.

Step 14

Let’s dab on white paint to give Raggi and Moomi those sparkling bright eyes.

In the meantime, you can learn how to draw this cute drawing of a Bunny using paper, pencils or markers for a start!

Step 1

You’ll need a A6 sized 200g paper and your large flat brush loaded with yellow and orange paint.

With the orange color facing the outer edge of your bunny’s head, draw a slightly flattened circle and make a small bump on the lower part for his chubby cheeks.

Step 2

Once you are done with his head, go on to make in 2 long loops for those droopy holland lop ears.

Then let’s draw little petal shapes for his fluffy neck and front paws.

Flip your brush with orange facing right and draw a curve for his back. Make one more loop for his hind leg.

Then end off by using the yellow edge of your brush to dab some yellow for his round tail.

Step 3

To give our bunny more depth and contrast, let’s use a small flat brush to pick up brown and beige color.

Go around the entire bunny with brown on the outer edge, leaving only his tail out so that it looks almost like a soft and puffy cloud.

Pick up some beige paint with your small flat brush.

Draw little semicircles to make his tail look fluffy.

Step 4

Let’s load our small flat brush with white and teal.

Go on to draw in a little bow tie just below his chin to turn him a daddy bunny.

Step 5

Once you are done, load this same brush with dark blue and teal.

Then draw a little hat on his head.

This week is extra special because it’s father’s day this weekend!

Step 6

Let’s give him a vintage bow tie. Go ahead to load the same brush with white paint and dab on some stripes.

I’m also adding some red stripes on his bowtie and hat to complete his vintage look.

Step 7

Let’s add some pink to the underside of both ears and cheeks.

Step 8

Let’s switch to our liner brush. Let’s use dark brown to outline our bunny.

If you are a right hander like me, start from the top left of your bunny so that you don’t smudge the paint before it dries. For lefties, start from the top right instead.

Step 9

Once you are done with his outline, go on to load your liner brush with black paint.

We are now going to draw his eyes, eyebrows, nose and whiskers.

Step 10

Load your liner brush with dark blue and outline your vintage accessories.

Step 11

Let’s load up white paint on our liner brush for the highlights of his eyes.

Then add your finishing touches to intensify some of stripes on his bow tie.

In the meantime, you can learn how to draw this cute drawing of a dog (Corgi) using paper, pencils or markers for a start!

Step 1

Load your small flat brush with yellow and orange paint.

Using the one stroke painting technique, place orange on the outer edge, starting with his forehead. Then continue to paint in his ears and cheeks.

This magical technique makes it so easy even for beginners to create impressive gradients in a single stroke.

Step 2

Let’s paint in 2 little triangles for his arms. Then go on to paint in his body and tail, leaving this section in middle open for a cute fluffy white collar later on.

Step 3

Let’s erase any excess paint using a clean and damp round brush. This helps the next layer of white paint stay pure and white.

Step 4

Load your small round brush with white paint.

Then fill in the face, collar and feet of your corgi dog.

Step 5

Load this same brush with pink paint.

Let’s color in his ears and dot in a cute pawprint on his right paw.

Step 6

Switch to your liner brush and pick up black paint.

Let’s start outlining from the top of his head.

Step 7

Once your white paint is dry enough for the next layer, let’s use our liner brush to paint his tongue and cheeks with pink paint.

Step 8

Once you’re done, continue your black outline for the rest of his body.

Paint another pink paw print on his foot.

Step 9

Let’s use our liner brush to dot in white paint.

Fill in the highlights of his eyes and eyebrows.

Step 10

If you are happy with your design, you can stop here.

But I’m in a party mood this week, so let’s have some extra fun our furry friend!

Go on to load your small flat brush with white and teal.

Then paint in some diagonal stripes to add a little party hat on his head.

Step 11

Use your small round brush to paint in some yellow streamers on the top.

Step 12

What’s a party without balloons?

Let’s switch to our medium flat brush and pick up pink and lime green paint.

Paint a balloon by twisting your brush in a circular motion like this.

And with the same color we used for his party hat

let’s paint in a small triangle for the knot.

Step 13

It’s time to outline our party accessories with our liner brush and black paint.

Draw a white line and two dots to mimic the reflection on the balloon.

Step 14

To make our design to pop, let’s give our corgi dog another outline in white.

If you are painting on paper, you can try a different color like yellow or lime green too! Just play around and have fun!

Step 15

To top it all off, let’s add some little stars and dots for that extra sparkle.

Step by Step Drawing

In the meantime, you can learn how to draw this cute drawing of Toothless using paper, pencils or markers for a start!

Step 1

Load your medium flat brush with grey paint.

Then dip a corner of your brush into black paint.

We are going to use the one stroke painting technique to help us create fun and easy gradients that even beginners can master.

As the brush is wider than a pencil, your hand will be more stable. You can also go over the paint as many times to adjust the shape of your drawing.

Step 2

For the ears of Toothless, let’s create 2 curved petal shapes at the top of his head. Also place 2 more tiny petals on both sides of his cheeks.

Step 3

Draw in 2 tiny horns between his ears using the grey edge of your brush.

Step 4

For his arms, make 2 vertical strokes down with black edge facing left.

Step 5

For his back, flip your brush so the black edge faces the opposite side. Then paint a downward stroke with a gentle bump before curving your brush under the body for his tail.

Step 6

Switch to a small flat brush.

Load this brush the same way as we did with the grey followed by black on the corner.

Let’s paint in more definition for his right arm.

Step 7

For his legs, let’s paint in a circular shape on each side of his body.

Step 8

For his right wing, use the same brush to draw in the upper spine of the wing. Then make 2 downward strokes to complete the flaps. Repeat the same thing on the other side.

Step 9

Use a liner brush to draw in some purple shadows.

I know shadows are always challenging for beginners so just do your best ok? Try to imagine a light source shining on the right side of Toothless.

This way our purple shadows should be drawn along his left side.

Step 10

Load pink paint on this liner brush to add in some highlights.

Place the pink on the remaining parts where you didn’t paint the purple shadow on.

Step 11

If you are ready to outline your design, load your liner brush with black paint.

Let’s draw in his eyes first.

For the rest of his outline, work our way from the top to the bottom.

Step 12

Let’s load our liner brush with lime green paint to give Toothless his green eyes.

You will probably need 2 to 3 coats to prevent any black paint from peeping through the greens.

Step 13

Let’s switch to our medium round brush with white paint.

Dot in the highlights of his eyes as well as those tiny spikes on his forehead.

Step 14

To give Toothless a bit more definition, switch back to our liner brush and pick up white paint.

Let’s draw an extra outline in white. If you are painting this on white paper, you can use lime green to create an outer glow that matches his eye color.

Step 15

Let’s add our finishing touches by dotting in the claws for Toothless.

Don’t worry if you made a mistake because all you need is a clean and damp round brush. You can use this as your eraser. I’m erasing a wobbly swirl here.
Art for kids
I went back to fill in the background colour that I removed during erasing. Then I redrew a prettier swirl this time.
